Mom’s Wax Race Yellow Hard Ski Wax is designed for skis and snowboards when the air temperature is between 0°C and +10°C. The ski wax’s hydrophobic properties repel water and reduce friction between the base and the snow, providing a smoother glide, greater speed and better control on descents. The wax penetrates deep into the base and forms a durable protective layer that reduces wear and keeps it in good condition for longer, both during use and storage.

The standard fluor-free formula is suited to fresh and clean snow in warmer winter conditions. Melt and spread the wax evenly over a clean base with a waxing iron set to 120°C. Allow it to cool completely, then scrape away the excess wax and brush the base.

*The size of the skis or snowboard and the thickness of the applied wax layer significantly affect the number of applications.

  • How to аpply

    1. Clean the base with a brass brush to remove dirt and any remaining old wax. Make sure it is completely dry.

    2. Melt the wax with a waxing iron and spread it evenly over the entire base.

    3. Allow the wax to cool completely.

    4. Scrape away the excess layer with a ski wax scraper.

    5. Finish with a nylon brush to restore an even structure and a horsehair brush for fine polishing.

  • Tools you need

You need a waxing iron to melt the wax and spread it evenly across the base. The brass brush cleans the base before waxing, while the ski wax scraper removes excess wax after it has cooled completely. The nylon brush restores the final structure, and the horsehair brush is used for the last polishing stage.
